About the Workshops…

Racial Identity Frameworks & Reflection

Understanding race begins with understanding ourselves. In this session, you’ll explore racial identity development models and reflect on your own journey. Through guided activities and dialogue, participants will examine how identity shapes perceptions and relationships in classrooms, workplaces, and communities.

Ableism

Ableism often goes unseen, yet it impacts classrooms, organizations, and communities in profound ways. This session examines how ableism operates as part of systemic oppression and invites participants to consider inclusive, restorative approaches that honor diverse abilities and ways of being.Sexism And Gender Bias

Sexism And Gender Bias

Sexism and gender bias harm relationships, limit opportunities, and silence voices. In this session, you’ll learn how these patterns show up across schools, workplaces, and communities, and practice restorative approaches that affirm equity, belonging, and respect for all gender identities.Classism

Classism

Economic inequities create barriers that ripple through classrooms and communities alike. This workshop explores how classism affects opportunities, power, and relationships, and how restorative practices can support dignity, inclusion, and solidarity across differences in income and social class.Restorative & Trauma Informed Responses to Oppression and Intersectionality: Action Planning

Restorative & Trauma Informed Responses to Oppression and Intersectionality: Action Planning

This culminating workshop integrates lessons on racial literacy, ableism, sexism, and classism into a restorative, trauma-informed framework for action. Participants will design personalized and organizational strategies to respond to oppression and foster equity in classrooms, workplaces, and community spaces.

Note: Because this session builds on the content of earlier workshops, it is strongly recommended that participants attend other parts of the series or be able to demonstrate prior knowledge of these topics.Graduate Credit Options
